General (Role Designer) (SSAS)

Use the General page of Role Designer to set the name, description, and database permissions for a role in Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Analysis Services (SSAS).

Options

• Role name
  Type the name of the role.

• Role description
  Type a description of the role.

• Full control (Administrator)
  Grants users in this role administrator privileges for the selected Analysis Services database.

• Process database
  Grants users in this role the right to process the selected Analysis Services database.

• Read definition
  Grants users in this role read permissions to the database metadata.
