IMetaDataImport::GetUserString method (rometadataapi.h)

Gets the literal string represented by the specified metadata token.

Syntax

HRESULT GetUserString(
  [in]  mdString tkString,
  [out] LPWSTR   szString,
  [in]  ULONG    cchString,
  [out] ULONG    *pchString
);

Parameters

[in] tkString

The String token to return the associated string for.

[out] szString

A copy of the requested string.

[in] cchString

The maximum size in wide characters of the requested szString.

[out] pchString

The size in wide characters of the returned szString.

Return value

If this method succeeds, it returns S_OK. Otherwise, it returns an HRESULT error code.
