La Type proprietà può essere impostata solo su tipi primitivi ed enumerazioni.

Può XmlTextAttribute anche essere applicato a un campo che restituisce una XmlNode matrice di XmlNode oggetti o .

È possibile applicare a XmlTextAttribute un campo o a una proprietà che restituisce una matrice di stringhe. È anche possibile applicare l'attributo a una matrice di tipo Object , ma è necessario impostare la Type proprietà su string. In tal caso, tutte le stringhe inserite nella matrice vengono serializzate come testo XML.
